Known for its use of seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients, the Terrace is the only Michelin star establishment in the New Forest National Park and is a destination in its own right.
Newly appointed restaurant manager Pierre Rizet Mosser developed his expertise under Marc Meneau and, more recently, the renowned duo of Michel and Alain Roux at the Waterside Inn.
David Kubler joins the Terrace team as head sommelier with an equally impressive background. Having previously worked as a sommelier at Heston Blumenthal’s Fat Duck, Kubler also draws on experience from other top establishments, such as Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and The Vineyard.
Kubler and Mosser join Tomkinson to create one of the most anticipated partnerships in hospitality. An ex-Roux scholar himself, it was Tomkinson who led the Terrace to its first Michelin star back in 2009.
Tomkinson commented on the restaurant’s new appointments: “The wealth of knowledge both Pierre and David are able bring to the Terrace is second to none. Having both worked extensively in top Michelin-starred restaurants, I am looking forward to working with them and developing ideas on how we can further enhance the dining experience we provide to our guests.”
