Glencoe Inn to receive £500,000 investment

Glencoe Inn, a Highland hotel, is set to receive a £500,000 investment as its owner, Crerar Hotel Group, aims to deliver a “boost to tourism” upon the lifting of travel restrictions.

According to the Herald, the hotel group’s investment will facilitate the refurbishment of all 15 bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the property’s food and drink offerings and outdoor areas.

Intended to create the “ultimate boutique hotel experience”, the transformation has reportedly been designed with “luxury in mind”.

The redevelopment will also establish a bistro, featuring Scottish beef from the Crerar Home Farm, that will accompany pizzas made in a new wood-fired oven.

Moreover, a new deck area for patrons will include lounge furniture and firepits to create “the ultimate outdoor relaxation experience”.

Chris Wayne-Wills, chief executive at the group, said, via the Herald, that investing in the company’s hotels is an “absolute priority” that has continued “despite the industry-wide impact of the coronavirus pandemic”.

He added: “This significant investment in the Glencoe Inn will create a small boutique hotel experience in the highlands that offers low key luxury, with the finest Scottish hospitality, set against one of the country’s most beautiful landscapes.”

A hidden garden spa that includes a hot tub and sauna, will also be introduced as part of the £500,000 project.
