Qbic London City awaiting offers amid ‘fast approaching” deadline

The 183-bedroom hotel which is available free and clear of the current Qbic Hotels branding, on a ‘leasehold basis’, is located close to the Square Mile and close by to Aldgate East underground station and tourist attractions

The Qbic London City hotel is still accepting offers before its “fast approaching” deadline on Friday 19 March 2021, according to Christie and Co.

The 183-bedroom hotel, which is available free and clear of the current Qbic Hotels branding and on a leasehold basis, is located close to the Square Mile and Aldgate East underground station and tourist attractions.

The property is surrounded by street food, cafes and restaurants, art galleries, niche shops and nightlife within the districts of Whitechapel and Spitalfields.

The hotel opened in 2013 and has undergone continual investment and improvement across its bedroom range since. The hotel offers a combination of hi-tech with its strong environmental credentials and the latest sleep technology as well as attracting a “strong following” from both leisure and corporate guests.

Additionally the hotel includes Motley Bar and Restaurants as well as a range of meeting rooms, co-working spaces, and a car park with electric vehicle charges.

Andrew Evangelou, director and head of London hotels in Christie & Co’s hospitality team, who brought the site to market, said: “We are delighted with the response to our marketing of Qbic London City since we launched it to the market just three weeks ago.

“There is a real pent-up demand from domestic and international hotel operators to have bedroom inventory ready for the inevitable surge in leisure demand from May, once the hotel can open fully to leisure and corporate guests. Inviting offers on 19 March will allow us to ensure a buyer can be selected in good time, to ensure a smooth handover.”
