Recently refurbished 4-star country house comes to market for £2.3m

A recently refurbished 29-bedroom hotel in Lockerbie, Dumfriesshire is being offered for sale inviting offers of over £2.3m for the freehold.

The four-star Dryfesdale Country House Hotel is set in close to four acres of its own private grounds and also features four versatile public rooms ranging in sizes to cater for small meetings up to a function room with capacity for 150. In addition, there is a separate three-bedroom cottage, for owners or staff.

Alistair Letham, director with selling agents Colliers International, said: “Dryfesdale Country House Hotel has been extensively upgraded and refurbished meriting its four-star grading, resulting in business growth with a very well-established custom.

“The introduction of a biomass system has also cut utility, therefore increasing profitability. The Dryfesdale Country House Hotel is an excellent business for new owners seeking a good income flow quality hotel.”

Graeme Smith of Smith & Clough Business Associates added: “Having sold the hotel to the current owner 15 years ago, it is a pleasure to be acting jointly in the sale of this extremely established and presented business, that offers an exceptional opportunity for a private individual or as an addition to a larger portfolio.”
