Accor, the hospitality group, has signed agreements for two new hotels in the UK. First, an Ibis Styles hotel with 81 rooms and suites is under construction in Burton-Upon-Trent, set to open in late 2024. Additionally, an Ibis hotel in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, is set to rebrand from Premier Inn and will open as Ibis Coleraine in early 2024. These developments bring Accor’s Ibis brand portfolio in the UKI to a total of 119 hotels, highlighting the continued appeal of their economy brands.
Hilton Group has unveiled a new 146-room Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Rochdale town centre as part of the Upperbanks development. Operated by Legacy Hotels and Resorts, the hotel boasts modern guest rooms, fitness facilities, and an F&B offering in the lobby area. It’s strategically located near Rochdale Riverside shopping and leisure centre, making it an attractive choice for guests exploring the area.
Sandown House, a five-star guest house in Sandown, has been put up for sale at a guide price of £825,000. The property includes a detached guest house with six uniquely designed guest rooms and a detached two-story coach house. Located on the outskirts of Nairn, it provides an ideal base for guests to explore local attractions, including golf courses and renowned distilleries. The current owners are selling due to retirement after successfully running the business for 18 years.
Rockliffe Hall in County Durham has unveiled newly renovated New Hall bedrooms as part of ongoing renovations. The rooms feature king-size beds, velvet sofas, and artwork designed by Surfacephilia. Each room offers views of the hotel’s landscaped gardens and golf course. The hotel’s Old Hall suites, Orangery restaurant, meeting rooms, drawing room, and cocktail bar will undergo refurbishment in January 2024 to enhance the guest experience.
