Marriott International is introducing a new brand, Four Points Express by Sheraton, aimed at the midscale market in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This move comes in response to growing demand for affordable yet reliable accommodation. The brand promises a seamless hotel experience with a focus on reliability, simplicity, and value. The first UK hotel is set to open in Central London in 2024, with 201 guest rooms after a significant renovation. Additionally, two Four Points Express hotels are planned for Turkey in Antalya and Bursa.

PoB Hotels has expanded its portfolio with two prestigious additions, The Hari in London and The Painswick in the Cotswolds. The Hari, a privately-owned hotel in Belgravia, offers 85 uniquely styled rooms and a restaurant, il Pampero, while The Painswick, a Palladian house in Painswick village, boasts 17 valley-view rooms, lounges for British afternoon tea, and a seasonal produce-focused restaurant. The Hari has been owned by the Hariela family since its 2016 opening, while The Painswick is part of the Calcot collection. PoB Hotels aims to enhance its presence in the South of England by partnering with these exceptional venues.

PPHE hotel group has announced an interim dividend of 16 pence per share, reflecting strong operational and financial progress, including a 59% revenue growth to $45.2m (£37.2m) in the first half of 2023. This follows their decision to return to their historic capital returns policy, distributing around 30% of adjusted EPRA earnings to shareholders. The dividend will be paid in October 2023.

UK hotel group Exclusive Collection has received nine AA Rosettes for its restaurants. The Latymer has been awarded five AA Rosettes, while The Pass has received four AA Rosettes. The Latymer, located at Surrey’s Pennyhill Park, is known for its inventive menus and modern British dishes made with seasonal ingredients. The Pass, situated at South Lodge in Sussex, was awarded its first Michelin star in 2021 and boasts four AA Rosettes for its high-quality ingredients and excellent flavour combinations. Additionally, South Lodge was named Spa Hotel of the Year 2023, with a luxurious 44,000 sq. ft spa offering a range of amenities and treatments. Exclusive Collection is the first B Corp accredited, family-owned collection of country house hotels, with plans for expansion in the Midlands from mid-2024.
