The team expanded from 80 to 180 employees, with over 3000 new guests welcomed during this period. General manager Linden Beattie expressed excitement about the transformational year, acknowledging the team’s commitment and looking forward to continued success in 2024. Located in Bishops Stortford, Down Hall is a country house estate spanning 110 acres.
The Theobalds Park Estate in Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, is now on the market, encompassing 55 acres of land. The Grade II listed lifestyle hotel, formerly operated under the Birch brand, comprises 140 bedrooms and a members club. Despite its recent closure in November 2023, the property offers various opportunities for re-opening and enhancement. Situated 13 miles north of Central London, the estate is in proximity to the M25 and Waltham Cross Station, with nearby attractions such as Sunset Waltham Cross Studios. Savills associate director Harriet Fuller highlighted the property’s diverse facilities and income-generating potential, expecting high demand from a range of buyers.

The Cottage in the Wood Malvern has appointed Michael Pearson as its general manager to solidify its position as a unique destination.
