The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort, and Spa in St Andrews, Scotland, has completed significant renovations to its Kohler Waters Spa. This five-star resort, the only Kohler Waters Spa outside the U.S., now features the UK’s first Espuro Foam Experience steam room. Located in the newly refurbished ladies’ changing room, this 15-20 minute foam ritual is available to female day spa guests without pre-booking. The renovation also includes upgrades to the Hydrotherapy Suite with calming designs, soft lighting, and new Kohler Experience Showers, allowing personalised shower settings. This refurbishment aligns with the hotel’s broader focus on wellness, offering workshops like yoga, meditation, and an upcoming cold-water wellness retreat. 

Pride of Britain Hotels (PoB) has named TV presenter, architect, and designer George Clarke as its newest ambassador, coinciding with the launch of PoB’s “An Inspired Life” campaign. Clarke’s bespoke PoB Break, “Cinematic Locations and the Art of Heritage Restoration,” takes him through the Sussex countryside, New Forest, and Chilterns. Clarke expressed his inspiration from the architectural and historical elements of these hotels, highlighting Gravetye Manor’s design and its blend of architecture with its landscape. He hopes to share this inspiration with guests, encouraging them to appreciate the intricate design and history during their stays.

Claridge’s Hotel in Mayfair has announced “The Kitchen Supper Series,” a new dining experience in partnership with The Good Food Guide. Launching in September, this series will feature top chefs from across the UK, offering diners a front-row seat at the chef’s table. Simon Attridge, Claridge’s culinary director, will kick off the series, with other notable chefs like Gareth Ward and Sam Carter following. The intimate setting of L’Epicerie, overlooking the kitchens, will host up to 14 guests per supper, celebrating the best of British dining.

The Signet Collection will open its fourth hotel, The Alfriston, in March 2025. Located in Alfriston village within the South Downs, the hotel will offer 38 individually styled rooms, a 70-cover restaurant named 1554 Brasserie, and revamped gardens. Additional features include a casual dining bar, an Orangery for breakfast and tea, a spa with various amenities, and a function room for up to 120 guests. The hotel aims to provide a luxurious and relaxing environment, blending comfort with the natural beauty of the South Downs.
