Seaton House, a five-star hotel in St Andrews, has named Stephanie Lee as its new director of sales and marketing. With 30 years in hospitality and 20 years in sales, Lee joins from IHG Hotels and Resorts. She is enthusiastic about working with Valor Hospitality and collaborating with Seaton House’s team, including general manager Michael Davern and chef Roy Brett. Seaton House is set to reopen in early 2025 after restoration, featuring 42 luxury rooms and providing fine dining experiences with locally sourced ingredients.
John Wagner, a veteran in the hospitality industry, has become a non-executive director at Zeal Hotels as it prepares to open its first net zero carbon hotel, the Voco Zeal Exeter Science Park, in January 2025. Wagner brings 40 years of experience, having co-founded Cycas Hospitality and previously worked with IHG. He aims to help Zeal Hotels promote sustainability and energy efficiency within the industry, aligning with their net zero carbon goal.
Palé Hall, a luxury country house hotel in Snowdonia, has appointed Chris Zefeiropoulos as its restaurant manager. Zefeiropoulos has worked with renowned chefs such as Heston Blumenthal and Mark Birchall. He aims to elevate Palé Hall’s standards further, enhancing the hotel’s mission for national recognition. The hotel, which boasts a Michelin Green Star restaurant, was recently acquired by Anthony and Donna Cooper-Barney, who are investing in the property and the local community.
Vertus Edit, part of the Canary Wharf Group, will open its first aparthotel in February 2025. The studios, ranging from 15 to 32 sqm, will offer short-term stays with access to lounges, meeting rooms, co-working spaces, and a gym. The aparthotel aims to cater to both business and leisure visitors, providing flexible stays. Director Freya Richard highlights the strategic location, benefiting from Canary Wharf’s evolving community, transportation, and proximity to green spaces and dining options.
