In Kendal, the four-star Stonecross Manor is undergoing a £1m refurbishment to add new rooms, leisure facilities, and spa amenities, creating 12 jobs. The hotel, managed by Everbright Hotel Group, will reopen after a ground-floor remodel, with a second phase starting in January 2025. This upgrade includes a hotel extension and a revamped spa area, transforming Stonecross into a boutique destination with expanded services and luxurious offerings.

Kirklees Council in Huddersfield has allocated an additional £9.8m toward the George Hotel’s restoration, bringing the total to £30m.
