Elle R Leisure has purchased Ferrari’s Country House Hotel and Restaurant in Longridge, Preston, for £2.25m. Set on 4.5 acres in the Ribble Valley, the 1830s manor-turned-hotel features 23 en-suite bedrooms, two cottages, and three function rooms for up to 250 guests. A popular wedding venue, it includes outdoor ceremony spaces, private summer dining options, and a bar. Located near the M6, the property combines historic charm with modern amenities, making it one of the North West’s premier wedding destinations.
UK hospitality real estate group Prosper Cap has secured a £66m loan from investment manager Castlelake to refinance 17 hotel assets across 15 UK cities, including Manchester, Liverpool, and Glasgow. Operating under brands like Hilton, IHG, and Marriott, the hotels form a stabilised portfolio benefiting from Castlelake’s asset-based credit solutions. Since 2006, Castlelake has invested over £5.84bn in European real estate and remains a key player in hospitality financing.
CitizenM will open two new hotels in 2025, in Dublin and London. The Dublin St. Patrick’s location will feature 245 rooms, a terrace, and meeting spaces, preserving its brutalist architecture by Sam Stephenson. The London Olympia hotel will offer 146 rooms as part of a £1.3bn regeneration project, including an arts space, theatre, and cinema. These additions will increase CitizenM’s global portfolio to 38 properties, continuing its innovative approach to hospitality since launching in 2008.
