Manchester Stock Exchange Hotel joins Marriott’s Autograph Collection

Stock Exchange Hotel in Manchester has joined Autograph Collection Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of over 31 hotel brands around the world. The hotel, which opened in 2019, is situated in a restored Edwardian-era stock exchange dating from 1906. The Autograph Collection appeals to travellers who are looking for a premium independent feel to their hotel experience in terms of design, location and service. In keeping with all Autograph Collection hotels, Stock Exchange Hotel celebrates its own distinct design, honouring the heritage of the Edwardian Baroque stock exchange building with carefully preserved architectural details such as the domed ceiling and mosaic floors. Throughout the hotel the neutral and earthy colour scheme, with tones of green, grey, and gold accents complement the restored original marble, brass, and woodwork. The results evoke “a sense of timeless elegance and style while maintaining a welcoming and modern feel”. With chef Niall Keating at the helm, the ‘Tender’ restaurant offers a culinary journey through contemporary British, Asian and French cuisine, prepared with seasonal ingredients. Sterling Bar was launched at the hotel in September 2022 by brothers Joe and Daniel Schofield, alongside leading wine expert James Brandwood. Serving a selection of cocktails alongside a programme of rare and vintage bottles of wine, the bar also plays host to curated live music showcasing Mancunian and visiting musicians.
