The Bat and Ball, a historic pub in Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire, will open on 8 January under the Montgomery Group. Known for restoring The Lamb Inn, the group promises a “traditional” pub experience. Chef Rick Owens, formerly of two Michelin-star Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, will present a sustainable, seasonal menu featuring pub classics and creative nibbles like pork scratchings and Korean chicken wings. Accommodating 50 guests across several areas, the pub combines rustic charm with modern design, including terracotta walls and forest-green accents. It also offers five bedrooms, each designed to highlight original architectural features. Montgomery Group aims to create an inclusive community hub for locals and visitors alike.
Wyndham Hotels and Palladium Hotel Group have expanded their partnership to include five Spanish all-inclusive resorts under Wyndham’s brands. These resorts, with over 1,400 rooms in the Balearic Islands, join Wyndham’s Registry Collection and Trademark Collection. The partnership, started in 2022, strengthens Wyndham’s all-inclusive portfolio, which now boasts 60 global resorts. The collaboration blends Palladium’s local expertise with Wyndham’s global reach to offer memorable, luxury experiences. RE Capital UK has listed the Ruby Stella Hotel in Farringdon, London, for £50m.
