The 25 Boutique B&B in Torquay, Devon, is on the market for over £699,000 . This award-winning property features six luxurious suites, a two-bedroom owner’s apartment, and amenities such as a sun terrace and landscaped gardens. Renowned for its high-quality service and prime location near Torquay’s center, the B&B enjoys steady tourist trade. After a decade of ownership and significant renovations, the business is profitable but offers growth potential for new owners. Christie and Co, managing the sale, anticipate strong interest.

Manchester’s Abel Heywood pub and boutique hotel celebrated 10 years of success since opening in 2014. Operated by Hydes Brewery, the venue underwent a £200k refurbishment in 2024, enhancing its Victorian-style decor and amenities. With a consistently high hotel occupancy rate and a packed event schedule, it has become a Northern Quarter landmark. Future plans include further upgrades to its 15-room hotel. Hydes’ leadership commended the team’s efforts in navigating challenges and maintaining its reputation as a vibrant community hub.

Whitbread marked the topping out of its 212-room hub by Premier Inn hotel at Snow Hill, London. Slated for a 2026 opening, the hotel retains the historic Victorian façade of the former police station and will include a free exhibition on the site’s history. Located near Farringdon Station, it aligns with the City of London Corporation’s ‘Destination City’ initiative, offering affordable, high-quality accommodation to attract visitors. This project is part of Whitbread’s strategic expansion in prime London locations.

UK hotel investments surged to £5.75bn in 2024, more than doubling 2023 volumes and marking the sector’s strongest performance since 2018. Portfolio transactions led the recovery, with key deals including Blackstone’s Village Hotel acquisition and KKR’s purchase of Marriott properties. Regional investments grew by 217% year-on-year, with London seeing a 105% increase to £2.4bn. Experts credit private equity confidence and strong sector fundamentals, such as resilience and inflation-hedging potential, for driving this growth.
