London Marriott Hotel County Hall has unveiled 35 new river view rooms and suites, including the luxurious Big Ben Balcony Suite and South Bank Balcony Suite, both offering interconnecting bedroom options and spacious lounge areas. The new balcony rooms provide a personal escape with panoramic views of the River Thames, while the loft rooms feature private viewing platforms. The hotel’s club facilities have also reopened with significant upgrades, accessible to both guests and the public. General manager Govert Deketh emphasised the unique London experience these new spaces offer.

Solent Hotel and Spa in Fareham has completed a major renovation of its wellness facilities, including a new pool area, salt sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and storm shower. Inspired by its coastal location, the spa features natural elements and offers membership options. Guests can also enjoy dining at the FYR Restaurant, which showcases an open-plan grill kitchen and al-fresco dining on the terrace. General manager Nathan Chart and spa director Gemma Barratt highlighted the inclusive and modern design, aiming to provide a relaxing and high-quality experience.

Miiro has appointed Nicola James as general manager of the soon-to-open Templeton Garden in Earl’s Court, set to debut in April 2025. With extensive experience in the London hospitality scene, James will oversee the hotel’s launch, including its dining spaces and guest experience. The 156-room property will feature a café-deli, a British restaurant, a cocktail bar, a gym, and a signature Refresh Room. James expressed excitement about contributing to the hotel’s unique offerings and its vibrant, leafy heritage.

The Expanse Hotel in Bridlington Bay, East Yorkshire, is now on the market with a freehold asking price of over £2.75m. The hotel includes 44 ensuite rooms, self-catered apartments, a restaurant, lounge, function spaces, and a popular rooftop terrace with sea views. Built in 1937 and under the Briggs family’s ownership since, the hotel, currently closed, presents significant redevelopment potential. Regional director David Lee highlighted the hotel’s prime seafront location and the opportunity for future uses under new ownership.
