The resort has also focused on biodiversity, planting wildflowers and housing over 100,000 bees. Additionally, its ESG efforts include fundraising for charities and donating lost property to good causes. Looking ahead, The Belfry plans to install solar panels, increase EV chargers, and build a waste treatment plant in 2025, aiming for EarthCheck Silver Certification.
AC Hotel Glasgow is restoring the historic Victorian Collectors Hall as part of the £100m Love Loan development. The restored A-listed venue, set to open next summer, will retain its period features while introducing modern facilities, including state-of-the-art AV, a courtyard, an exclusive bar, and private dining space. The hall will host weddings, corporate events, and galas for up to 200 guests, bringing a unique blend of heritage and elegance to Glasgow’s hospitality scene. The project is expected to create 20-30 new jobs, with a new kitchen led by top chefs. General Manager Craig Munro emphasized its significance in revitalizing Glasgow’s historical landmarks while enhancing its appeal for world-class events.
A joint venture between O’Shea and Galliard has secured a £22.8m loan from OakNorth to develop Saltmoore holiday lodges, a luxury wellness retreat on the North Yorkshire Coast. The 85-acre Raithwaite Sandsend Estate will feature 179 high-end villas and lodges, adding to the already restored Saltmoore House and The Beach House hotels, which opened in late 2024. The estate will offer Michelin-star dining, a spa, and wellness amenities, blending luxury with sustainability and heritage conservation.
