Barons Eden has sold a stake in Hoar Cross Hall in Staffordshire to Alchemy Partners to fund its expansion. The undisclosed deal will support the development of multiple UK properties. Alchemy, which has made ten hospitality investments in Europe over the past 14 years, sees strong growth potential in Barons Eden’s spa business. Advisors Savills and Alantra facilitated the sale, with industry leaders expressing confidence in Barons Eden’s future under Alchemy’s backing.
BWH Hotels hosted its first Pan European Convention in Palma de Mallorca, gathering 1,200 hoteliers. The event, themed “Unique and United,” featured discussions on brand strategies, ESG initiatives, AI, and hospitality trends. Attendees participated in workshops on cybersecurity, digital marketing, and wellness, with an international CEO panel providing industry insights. BWH Hotels emphasized global collaboration and future expansion.
Newhall Mains, a Michelin key hotel in the Scottish Highlands, reopened for the summer season with new wellness facilities, including an outdoor sauna and cold plunge pool. The hotel offers individually-themed cottages and suites with high-end amenities. It also features a restaurant showcasing British produce, housed in a restored grain store. Notably, the hotel has a private airfield for guest use. Originally a farm, Newhall Mains was transformed into a boutique hotel in 2021 by owner Euan Ramsay.
Brecon View Eco Village in Carmarthenshire has been acquired by Tomas Robertson of TR2 Group. Located near Brecon Beacons National Park, the site consists of six luxury eco lodges, five of which are fully carbon-neutral. The lodges feature wood-fired saunas, hot tubs, and BBQ areas. Robertson, who has a decade of experience in holiday lets, plans to revitalize the business. Christie & Co, which brokered the sale, noted strong demand for leisure properties in Wales and beyond.
