Grosvenor Gardens Hotel, a boutique Victorian B&B in Edinburgh’s West End, is up for sale after 20 years of private ownership. It has a strong reputation for high-quality accommodation in a quiet but central location, close to Haymarket Station and Murrayfield Stadium. The sale is being managed by Christie and Co, with director Gary Witham highlighting the potential to expand and further develop the business.
Adagio has launched ‘FIRST’, a strategic development plan aimed at making it the leading aparthotel brand in Europe by 2030. The company, which recorded €460m (£386m) in network revenue in 2024, plans to open 50 new properties over the next five years, expanding its current network to 180 aparthotels across 25 countries. Its offerings span three categories—Adagio Access (budget), Adagio Original (mid-range), and Adagio Premium (upscale)—with a target of 20,000 apartments by 2030. The strategy includes a strong sustainability focus, aiming for all properties to receive Green Key certification, and a renovation programme to update 75% of the existing portfolio. CEO Xavier Desaulles said the plan emphasises service quality and a central urban location for each property.
