Dakota Hotels reveals plans for ‘major’ UK expansion

Dakota Hotels has revealed plans for a rapid UK expansion, following completion of its fifth property in the portfolio, Dakota Manchester.

The new opening marks a “major” development for Dakota, and the purpose-built property is set to be the group’s flagship hotel, paving the way for several more hotels in the next few years to meet a rising demand for luxury lifestyle options.

A £30m development located close to Piccadilly Train Station, Dakota Manchester has marked a huge step forward in the regeneration of one of Manchester’s historical mill districts, Piccadilly Basin, directly creating over 120 jobs in the city centre.

The hotel features 137 bedrooms, including 20 luxury suites – the most in the city – a social, upscale dining restaurant Dakota Grill, its signature Champagne Room and an outdoor Cigar Terrace.

“We are proud of the reputation we have earned across our hotels for first class service and we will remain focused on our culture of making people feel good about making people feel good as we continue to open new hotels in key UK cities.”
