GLH Hotels Management has announced that Neil Gallagher has resigned as CEO of GLH Hotels and will be replaced by Alan Morgan.
GLH said Gallagher will step down effective 5 August with a transition period planned to ensure a “smooth handover” for Morgan.
Gallacher was with the company for five years, serving as the CFO before being promoted to CEO in 2016. During his tenure, he oversaw the development and opening of the Hard Rock Hotel London, as well as the opening of premium hotel restaurants ‘The Soak’ at The Grosvenor Hotel and ‘Vicinity’ at The Tower Hotel.
He said: “I am very proud to have been a part of the GLH family for five years, overseeing the significant growth that we have achieved year on year. It is an exciting moment for GLH hotels and for the hospitality sector, and it feels like the right time for someone else to lead the company into the next phase of our business development.”
GLH said his replacement Morgan brings a wealth of experience in the hospitality and leisure sector having held senior roles with Whitbread, Punch Taverns, Spirit Pub Company and most recently as retail managing director at Rank Group, part of the Hong Leong family.
Morgan added: “I am excited to join the fantastic, hard-working team at GLH hotels. The organisation is primed for growth and I look forward to leading the company through new ventures. I wish Neil success in the future, and thank him for his years of service at GLH.”
