Interstate rebrands Ramada Bournemouth as Holiday Inn

Interstate Hotels and Resorts has rebranded the Ramada Encore in Bournemouth as a Holiday Inn. The third-party management company, which took over the operation of the 113-guest room property in early 2018, has transitioned the hotel over to the Holiday Inn brand through a major refurbishment delivered with the owners, London-based Jayhems Limited. The property is located within a 10 minute walk of Bournemouth beach, as well as Bournemouth Pier and the town centre. Improvements made include, refurbishment of all 113 bedrooms, with brand new luxury beds, TVs and charging points, upgrade of the executive rooms, a brand new meeting room with state of the art technology and a brand new open lobby. Hemang G Popat, managing director for Jayhems Limited, said: “We are thrilled to be offering a fresh and vibrant place to stay, eat and relax after this extensive refurbishment. We also now plan to introduce Starbucks in August and a brand new mini gym from September. “These improvements position us ideally to meet the needs of our guests, businesses and the local community, and ensure continued growth for the hotel.” Nicholas Northam, executive VP – International, at Interstate Hotels and Resorts, added: “We’ve worked closely with the owners of the hotel on the decision to reposition the hotel as a Holiday Inn. “Coupled with Holiday Inn’s Open Lobby concept and the extensive upgrades to refurbish the hotel’s guest rooms and meeting spaces, we’re confident the new brand will be well received by both business and leisure travelers and position the property to lead in its market.” Northam added: “Our role as third-party operators is not only to run the hotels we manage day to day, but to draw on our global experience and scale to provide strategic advice to our owners to ensure their hotel is best positioned within the market and, in turn, maximise return on investment.” Interstate Hotels and Resorts recently announced its appointment as the management company behind the Hampton by Hilton in Sheffield, taking its current UK and European portfolio to more than 100 properties, inclusive of signed pipeline.
