Leicester’s new Novotel and Adagio hotel appoints 10 senior staff members

Accor’s new Novotel and Adagio hotels in Leicester, which are set to create over 60 jobs when opened in January 2020, have appointed 10 senior staff members.

The hotels are located at the Great Central Square and also feature an independent restaurant named NineB.

The Novotel and Adagio hotels are part of a £50m development, situated opposite Leicester’s Highcross shopping centre and will provide 250 bedrooms. 

James Conaghan has been appointed general manager of the two hotels, a former hotel manager at Jupiter Hotels, he has over 25 years of experience in hotel management. 

Nicki Wilson, director of sales, who’s role consists of managing hotel bookings for both hotels will join Scott Mills, who has been appointed revenue manager for Novotel and Adagio, alongside Rachel Case who has been appointed as finance manager.

Commenting on the appointments, Conaghan said: “We’re incredibly proud of the team that we have put together, each person brings a unique skill set and a wealth of experience so we have no doubt that they will thrive within their roles and help the development to do the same.”

Adagio has also appointed Judit Ruiz as operations manager, whilst Manpreet Singh will be in charge of operations at Novotel. Former front office manager for Radisson Blu, Aman Sirpal joins the team at the Accor hotels as front of house manager.

Karen Feeney will take charge of HR and will work alongside 10 front and three back of office staff who are yet to join. Whilst Manisha Sharma, has been appointed food and beverage manager at the independent restaurant NineB.

John Fletcher has also been appointed as maintenance manager and will oversee the housekeeping department.

Conaghan added: “We currently have an incredibly strong set of staff and we are excited to see that grow and expand as the hotels and restaurants launch in the new year.”
