Dumbleton Hall Hotel on the market for £6m

Dumbleton Hall Hotel, the countryside manor located close to Cheltenham, has been placed on the market seeking offers in excess of £6m.

Colliers is acting on behalf of Post Office Fellowship of Remembrance (POFR), which is seeking offers for the freehold hotel in a private setting of nearly 16 acres of parkland.

The house dates from the mid-1880s and features 38 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant and well-furnished public areas.

Peter Brunt, director of Hotels Agency at Colliers International, said: “In my opinion, this is the most significant single asset hotel opportunity to become available in the Cotswolds for a generation.

“It is not common to find a combination of accessibility and seclusion, but Dumbleton Hall offers both, and adds to that beautiful architecture plus an exquisite setting and therefore it gives the opportunity to create an outstanding hotel of very rare quality.”

He added: “Nationally we are seeing great demand for quality hotel assets like Dumbleton Hall. This demand comes not only from UK-based owners and investors but also, and in significant numbers, from overseas buyers – for example, from India, China, South Africa and the USA.”
