A new £40m development in Leicester has unveiled the designs of the new 154-room Novotel and 98-apartment Adagio hotels.

Located at Great Central Square, the Accor-branded 10-storey full-service Novotel features a gym and 154 bedrooms: including 38 executive suites all fitted with 55-inch televisions; nine bespoke junior suites built into the corner of each floor and a 60 square foot presidential suite on the penthouse floor of the building.

The hotel also offers five meeting rooms including the The Westmoreland Suite, which can cater up for up to 200 people at a time, and the Dinglen, Haramead and New Star suites which can each accommodate up to 50 guests.

The Adagio, designed for short and long-term stays, has 98 apartments, including 73 two-person studios and 25 two-room apartments for up to four people. All rooms are complete with fully-fitted kitchens including microwaves, dishwashers, hobs, fridge freezers and coffee machines and are designed for travellers to live and work comfortably.

James Conaghan, general manager of the Novotel and Adagio Leicester hotels, said: “The design influence of its owners will mean the hotels will appeal to visitors and guests who want style, convenience and comfort in one beautiful hotel.

“No detail has been overlooked and everything is in place to ensure our future guests have an enjoyable and most of all memorable stay in Leicester. I am very proud of everything that has been achieved.”

He added: “It is a modern space that offers both easy living and luxury and as a full-service offering, we will be far more than a hotel. We can’t wait to open our doors to the general public.”

Both hotels are interconnected and are set to open on January 16.
