Courtyard by Marriott hotel at Keele University’s Science and Innovation Park in Staffordshire has marked the topping out ahead of its autumn opening.

Set to create 60 jobs, the 150-bedroom hotel has been built with the aim of supporting the growing conference and events business of the university, as well as visitors to Keele University Science and Innovation Park.

The hotel has been built privately owned construction and development group, Bowmer and Kirkland. It has also been developed by Keele Hotel Developments, a joint venture between Marick Real Estate Ltd and Mill Lane Estates Ltd, and will be operated by Tower Hotel Management under a franchise agreement with Marriott International.

Neil Brook, regional director at Bowmer and Kirkland, said: “We are delighted to have reached the topping out phase of the hotel on programme and look forward to the delivery of a first class hotel for our clients Mill Lane Estates, Marick Real Estate Ltd and Keele University in the coming months.”
