Premier Inn unveils CleanProtect hygiene scheme
Premier Inn has unveiled its “rigorous” new CleanProtect enhanced hotel hygiene promise in a bid to secure guest confidence ahead of its reopening next week.
The hotel chain will begin a phased opening of its hotels in England from 4 July, in line with government guidance, while “closely managing” occupancy levels across reopened sites.
The Premier Inn CleanProtect will look to “further enhance” the hygiene standards of the chain, and has been developed alongside suppliers, including global cleaning and hygiene product supplier Diversey.
The new procedures are in line with both the World Health Organisation and the European Centre for Disease Control recommendations, as well as UK government guidance.
Changes under the scheme include acrylic screens at check-in, floor markings, automatically-dispensed hand sanitiser in public areas and new key-return boxes. Employees will also have use of PPE “where appropriate”.
The “rigorous” scheme also includes an increased frequency of cleaning of high-touch locations, such as lift buttons and door handles, using products effective against COVID-19.
