The Hilton Garden Inn London Heathrow Airport Hotel has completed a £4.2m renovation of its 364-room site.

All bedrooms have now been refurbished, with 205 undergoing a light refurbishment and 159 undergoing a full refurbishment and upgrade to deluxe king rooms.

The reception, restaurant, bar, and gym have also been renovated in the project, while four meeting rooms within the pavilion conferencing area have also been completely renovated.

Three additional meeting rooms have been created, while a further three meeting rooms have been refurbished, creating a total of 10 bespoke meeting areas.

Hilton said that its professional spaces “offer slick technology, modern menus and expert planners and service teams who are on hand to help guests create special and memorable experiences for up to 300 people”.

Swedish design team DOOS oversaw the renovation of the bedrooms, with all rooms featuring the group’s “signature” white bedding.

Bedrooms have also been fitted with new headboards, lighting fixtures and soft furnishings. The same upgrades were seen in the deluxe king rooms, which offer a larger en-suite bathroom and “more luxurious settings”.

The site also features refurbished health and wellness facilities, including a purpose-built gym. In addition, a new shop area has also been completed, which offers takeaway food, drinks and amenity travel items.

In light of the pandemic, the site has also implemented key hygiene and cleanliness protocols, and is the first UK hotel to receive the Certificate of Assurance from Bureau Veritas for its measures in response to Covid-19 prevention.

General manager, Ricard Lee, said: “The refurbishment started and ended with our guests in mind to ensure that we are the hotel of choice for travellers staying at Heathrow.

“With these renovations we can offer our guests an affordable upscale hotel with unexpected amenities, which enhance the offering of an airport hotel bringing the customer experience to another level.”
