Inhabit Hotel joins Design hotels ahead of October opening

London’s urban wellness hotel, Inhabit on Southwick Street, has announced it has joined the Design Hotels brand and will reopen on 1 October 2020.

Set across six Georgian townhouses in Paddington, Inhabit launched in 2019 to provide travellers with a “more conscious place to stay” – with all single-use plastic is banned, anti-pollution air filtration systems have been installed and meditation booths, infrared saunas and nature walks comes as standard.

The hotel joins the handpicked global portfolio of over 300 privately owned and operated hotels which Design said shares an “aligned vision and passion for culturally rooted hospitality and cutting-edge design and architecture”.

Additionally, the 88-room hotel revealed it has cemented its commitment to sustainable business practices having achieved Green Key certification.

The hotel said the eco-label represents the commitment of Inhabit to promise to adhere to the strict criteria set by the Foundation of Environmental Education and guests opting to stay at Inhabit can now “rest assured that they are helping to make a difference on an environmental level”.

Inhabit also plans to unveil a digital version of its wellness programme in time for the reopening. It said the programme will feature food and nutrition classes from its cafe Yeotown and recipe videos, a mindfulness podcast series, and online yoga classes.
