Amaris Hospitality has named Jason Carruthers its new Jurys Inn managing director.

He will take up the role in January 2016, reporting to Amaris CEO John Brennan, with a brief to oversee the implementation of Jurys Inn growth strategy.

John Brennan, CEO of Amaris Hospitality, said: “We’re delighted to welcome a hospitality executive of Jason’s calibre to Jurys Inn and he joins the company at a very exciting point in time. We’re currently adding eight new hotels to the already well invested Jurys Inn estate as part of our strategy to maximise opportunities for the Amaris Hospitality portfolio.”

Carruthers added: “I’m very excited about joining Jurys Inn and Amaris Hospitality and to take on the challenge and opportunity to contribute to the ambitious plans for the group. Jurys Inn is a fantastic hotel brand known for great hotels and locations, excellent customer service and, above all, great people.”

Jurys Inn currently operates 28 city centre hotels in the UK, Ireland and Prague, and this month announced eight additional hotels will be rebranded to Jurys Inn. This will bring the total number to 36.
