Three Amaris hotels to rebrand to Hilton
Three hotels owned by hotel investment and hospitality group, Amaris Hospitality, are to be converted into Hilton Worldwide-branded properties.
Following a £30m rebranding agreement the Carlton Hotel in Edinburgh will become Hilton Edinburgh Carlton, the Glasgow City Hotel will become DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central, while the Jurys Inn Custom House hotel in Dublin will rebrand to Hilton Garden Inn Dublin Custom House.
As the owner of the three hotels, Amaris will continue to operate the properties under a franchise agreement with Hilton Worldwide.
The investment is part of of a wider £100m programme in which it plans to turn more than 20 hotels into branded properties from its 89-strong portfolio.
Last month, Amaris Hospitality announced its intention to rebrand another 19 hotels including eight properties to the Jurys Inn brand and 11 to Mercure.
John Brennan, CEO of Amaris Hospitality, said: “This initiative will see three of our landmark hotels leverage their prime city centre locations, a significant investment programme and Hilton’s upscale brands to further optimise future revenues and deliver exceptional service to our guests.”
The agreement with Hilton Worldwide will bring the number of Hilton branded hotels in Amaris’ portfolio to six as the group already owns and operates DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in Chelsea and Islington and a Hilton Garden Inn at Heathrow Airport.
