London Marriott Regents Park set for final phase of multi-million refurb

The London Marriott Hotel Regents Park has announced the final phase of its multi-million pound investment programme, which will see the addition of seven new rooms.

The final phase will focus on the transformation of the property’s bedrooms in a bid to align them with the newly renovated lobby, executive lounge and meetings and events space.

With the introduction of seven new rooms, including Apple TVs, international power outlets and walk-in ‘raindance’ showers, the investment will see changes to both the layout and interior design of the hotel.

The company said neighbouring parks and villages, and local areas, will be used as the inspiration behind the new design.

The renovation will also include the addition of four meeting rooms to the existing lobby and the introduction of engaging technology and flexible working environments.

Meanwhile, hotel’s largest event space – Primrose Hill – will be redesigned to introduce natural daylight into a “contemporary and stylish design”. It will offer capacity for up to 300 people and feature remote-control projectors and screens, as well as an integrated sound and PA system.

Tony Owen, general manager, said: “This is a really exciting development for the hotel and we can’t wait to show our guests the new bedrooms and events space. The needs of the modern traveller are changing and we wanted to ensure that our offering fell in line with these demands.

“With constant adaptations to technology and the increasing importance of wellness, it’s paramount that we deliver the very best experience and this investment is part of a wider commitment to provide guests with a contemporary, inspiring and accommodating stay.”
