National Waiters’ Day celebrates fifth anniversary

Springboard will be celebrating its fifth anniversary of National Waiters’ Day this year.

The campaign, led by The Springboard Charity and Fred Sirieix, aims to showcase the hard work and dedication of front of house staff in the hospitality industry.

National Waiters’ Day hopes to change perceptions of front of house roles and highlight career progression in the sector.

As part of the event, waiters and front of house professionals will race through Hyde Park and other locations across the UK. Alongside the race there will be various activities highlighting the skills needed in front of house roles. There will also be demonstrations and talks led by hospitality businesses for prospective employees.
