Park Regis hotel Birmingham is celebrating almost two years as a key member of the city’s business and charity communities.

The four-star property has partnered with more than 30 organisations and network groups since March 2016, and raised over £100,000 for local charities during that time.

The hotel group chose Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice as its charity partner for 2017-18, helping the hospice to continue its work providing vital care and support to local families living with terminal illness across Birmingham and Sandwell.

It has been fundraising for national charity Sense, which provides support services for children, young people and adults living with sight and hearing impairment. In 2017 it was the main sponsor for Vélo Birmingham, a 100-mile closed road sportive in the centre of the city.

Park Regis also joined Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce (GBCC), the region’s largest business support network.

Mark Payne, general manager at Park Regis Birmingham, said: “The Chamber is the voice of Birmingham’s professional community and since joining we have had the pleasure of meeting some fantastic people from various sectors in the city.

“That’s the beauty of networking and staying connected – you build great relationships with key players which enables you to continue learning and growing as a business.”

He added: “From day one we have always been passionate about working with and getting to know key businesses and influencers in the city; be it a corporate partner or a local charity.

“We are especially proud of the amount of money we have raised in the short time we’ve been open – it is a great indicator of just how passionate we are about supporting worthwhile local causes.”
