Business owners in the seaside town of Colwyn Bay in North Wales have been celebrating a successful summer with hundreds of tourists making the most of the good weather and holidaying in the town.
Proprietor of Bryn Woodlands House Sandy McCallum has taken large numbers of bookings throughout the summer and like many other owners of hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation attributes the success to the two month restoration programme has included the redevelopment of the beach and the opening of a new water sports centre.
The town’s brand new dry beach opened in May 2013, and footfall to the town has already increased by five per cent since then.
