Como has announced the appointment of Rory Slater as its new managing director, who will oversee its two London sites, Como Metropolitan London and The Halkin.

Slater has had a 30-year career in luxury hospitality having held prominent leadership positions in the United States, United Kingdom, and Asia.

He joins Como from Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire where he was general manager and he will begin his new role in the capital on 8 January 2024.

Opened in 1991, Como The Halkin was the first property in the Como Hotels and Resorts portfolio.

Ferdinand Wortelboer, Como Hotels and Resorts, COO, said: “We are delighted to welcome Rory Slater to Como Hotels and Resorts.
