Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has added five new hotels to its portfolio, including The Fish Hotel in Broadway.
The 63-room hotel is located in the 400-acre Farncombe Estate and is owned by the Phillip-Sorensen family and is the sister property to the Dormy house which is a member of the hotel consortium. The hotel features a village-style collection of houses, huts and hideaways, the hook restaurant restaurant.
Joining the Fish Hotel from the UK is the 50 room Grade-II listed Academy Hotel comprises a collection of five Georgian townhouses combined into one charming luxury hotel, owned by YTL Hotels.
Following an extensive refurbishment, headed up by New York-based Champalimaud Design, all bedrooms and suites have recently been revamped with stylish furnishings, marble en-suite shower rooms and vintage pieces to “create a contemporary take on townhouse living”.
Also added to the SLH portfolio are the 4-room Calala Island, Pearl Cays hotel in Nicaragua, the 65 room Mangala Resort & Spa, Kuantan, Malaysia and the 14 room Palazzo Vecchietti, Florence. The new additions bring the number of hotel more than 500 independent hotels in 80 countries, 35 of which are in the UK.
