Apex Hotels has announced the appointment of Matthew Young as technology director and Stephen MacPherson as general manager of Hospitality Linen Services (HLS).
Young was formerly director of information technology positions at Gleneagles Hotel, Gleneagles Townhouse, Estelle Manor and Maison Estelle.
MacPherson held senior operations and managerial positions at Elis UK, Amazon Logistics and Eden Springs.
At HLS, he will be responsible for laundry operations, logistics and delivery, with a mandate to grow the business sustainably.
Owned by Apex Hotels, HLS operates as a standalone business serving the laundry needs of a range of businesses within central Scotland’s hospitality sector.
These appointments come during a period of continued growth for Apex Hotels, as the company embarks on an ambitious acquisition strategy to expand and diversify its portfolio.
Recent acquisitions include DoubleTree by Hilton Dunblane Hydro, Meldrum House Country Hotel and Golf Course in Aberdeenshire, Pine Trees Hotel in Pitlochry and The Vineyard in Berkshire.
Young said: “I am thrilled to join Apex Hotels during this period of growth and transformation. As someone who is passionate about creating memorable stays and experiences, I am eager to collaborate with the talented teams at Apex Hotels and contribute to the group’s continued success.”
MacPherson added: “I feel very excited about the prospect of running and growing HLS, seeking new business opportunities to grow revenue and adding sustainable value to the business and our customers.”
