Leisure operator Cairn Group has created a first of its kind role appointing Nick Gamble as its new Scottish operations director.

Responsible for all areas of operations across Cairn Group’s Scottish Hotels, Gamble brings over 30 years’ experience holding senior positions within the industry, shaping both brand and culture of several lifestyle hotel brands, luxury resorts and corporate businesses.

Commenting on his appointment Gamble said: “To have the opportunity to work with Cairn Group and explore new avenues is really exciting. I look forward to supporting the group’s growth plans into the luxury market with its portfolio of signature hotels known as The Cairn Collection.

“The group has a solid reputation in Scotland with some fantastic properties, I’ve enjoyed getting to know the business and the talented teams that run them.”

Cairn Group HR director Richard Adams added: “Nick has a wealth of knowledge, impressive experience and extreme passion. He has a proven track record in managing successful businesses and strongly believes in our vision and values, so we’re confident he will lead and drive our Scottish properties to achieve great things.”

The group currently owns and operates a portfolio of 33 hotels across the UK.
