Stanbrook Abbey has won Visit Worcester’s ‘Hotel of the Year’ 2019 award.

Belonging to the Hand Picked Hotel group, the 70 bedroom site was awarded Hotel of the Year for “outstanding” performance, demonstrating “excellence across every aspect of the business”.

Gordon Burniston, general manager of Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, said his team are “delighted” to receive this award.

He added: “The team at Stanbrook Abbey are completely guest-focused and committed to maintaining meticulous quality standards.  I am thrilled that this award recognises the hard work of every member of the team and very proud to collect this prestigious accolade.”

“Stanbrook Abbey is a very special hotel both in terms of its unique façade and grand interior spaces, but also in the friendly and informal environment we work hard to maintain. This year has seen a multi-million refurbishment, so to have such positive feedback from our guests across all sectors of our business is hugely rewarding.”

The hotel, situated in the Malvern Hills, features  70 bedrooms, as well as a new onsite restaurant. Other facilities include George’s Bar, The East Room for private functions and a cellar with party and games rooms.
