French hotel group Accor has won nine awards across its Novotel, Mercure, MGallery, Pullman and Sofitel brands, at the British Travel Awards.
The British Travel Awards 2014, which took place on Wednesday, November 16, attracted a record-breaking 1.25m votes from members of the public and hotel consumers.
Accor’s midscale brand, Mercure won the award for Best Worldwide Midscale Hotel Brand and was also awarded silver in the Best UK Midscale category. Also in the midscale, Novotel won best worldwide Midscale Hotel brand silver and took bronze in the Best UK Midscale category.
In the upscale segment, Pullman scooped the award for Best UK Upscale Hotel Brand as well as the silver award for Best Worldwide Upscale Hotel Brand. In the same segment Mgallery was awarded the bronze award in the Best Worldwide Upscale category.
The group’s luxury brand, Sofitel was awarded silver in the Best Worldwide Luxury Hotel Brand category and silver in the Best UK Luxury Hotel brand.

Accor recently announced the signing of two new hotels in scotland.
