The Lodge Hotel in Putney, London, has announced plans to target socially-responsible businesses with its new sustainable event space.
The hotel, which announced the expansion earlier this year, said the new events space will focus on sustainability and the use of environmentally friendly materials in a bid to attract businesses conscious of corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The 1,800 sq ft event space will cater for up to 200 guests and will feature a private boardroom and terrace, fibre optic Wi-Fi, 60-inch LED screens, private car park and several break-out spaces including a library.
The hotel – which is aiming to develop a property which is 40% more energy efficient than ‘latest building regulations’ – hopes that once the new spaces are opened later this year, the property will be able to achieve BREEAM Excellence accreditation for sustainable design and build.
The expansion of the hotel will also include 25 new guest rooms, taking the hotel from 52 to 77 bedrooms.
