Snowdonia’s Seiont Manor drops price to £1.6m

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Offers in the region of £1.6m are being sought for the 28-bedroom Seiont Manor hotel, a drop of £400,000 since it was put on the market last year.

The property, which is located in Snowdonia, North Wales, was put up for sale by owner’s Hand Picked Hotels for £2m last year, after the company said it wanted to focus on its core portfolio of larger country house hotels.

Set in 22 acres of Welsh countryside near Mount Snowdon, the hotel features conference facilities, 40-foot indoor swimming pool, sauna, gym, restaurant and a bar.

Julian Troup, head of UK hotels agency at Colliers International, which has put the property up for sale alongside Christie & Co, said: “We anticipate a high level of interest in what is a renowned country house hotel in a prime location in Snowdonia National Park being offered at a very competitive price.”

Adjacent to the hotel is a disused Grade II listed manor house with planning consent for an additional seven bedrooms and meeting rooms, which has also been offered for sale.
