During today’s launch of its latest hospitality training academy at the new Holiday Inn in Stratford, InterContinental Hotels (ICH) announced that it is set to create 3,000 new jobs over the next three years, including 1,100 this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg was in attendance at the launch, and welcomed the news, saying: “It’s fantastic to see IHG growing its UK business and creating 3,000 new jobs. The British service sector is world-beating, and will soon welcome millions of guests to enjoy London 2012.”

ICH has 275 hotels across the UK, including the Holiday Inn chain, which is the official hotel provider to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Two new hotels will be built around the Olympic site before the Games begin in July.
