Liner Hotel to sponsor Spirit of Merseyside Awards 2012

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Liverpool’s Liner Hotel has just been announced as a sponsor of the Spirit of Merseyside Awards. The community awards are an annual event hosted by the Community Foundation for Merseyside, which aims to recognise and celebrate outstanding work in the community and voluntary sector and the local businesses and philanthropists that have supported them.

This year’s awards will be held on Thursday 14 June at St. George’s Hall. A mixture of voluntary and community groups, local businesses, high profile individuals, local celebrities and representatives from the public sector will be attending the awards ceremony. A spokesperson for the hotel said: “The Spirit of Merseyside Awards is an excellent opportunity to support the work of Community Foundation for Merseyside as they pay tribute to some of the region’s most inspirational individuals and community groups.

“We particularly appreciate the importance of being there on the night, giving us a chance to introduce colleagues and guests to the Community Foundation and the amazing groups they are involved in supporting.”

“As a business, we are committed to demonstrating corporate social responsibility across every area of our company – including by contributing to the local communities where we operate, and sponsoring the awards provides a fantastic platform for us to do exactly that.”

Cathy Elliott, chief executive of the Community Foundation said: “We’re absolutely delighted that the Liner Hotel has agreed to partner with us as a sponsor for the Spirit of Merseyside Awards 2012, which is one of the real highlights of our calendar year.

“The awards provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the contribution of many individuals and organisations across Merseyside who are helping to make a real difference to their local communities and without the generous support of our local business sponsors it simply would not be possible to make this happen.”
