Radisson Hotel Group has appointed Suzanne Graham Speak as its city general manager at the Radisson BLU Hotel Manchester Airport and Park Inn by Radisson Manchester.

Speak has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, and her teenage years were spent gaining “crucial experience” working in hotels and restaurants. After hosting an event for Hilton International she was highlighted as a star employee and she continued her career in the hotel industry.

She went on to hold roles in a senior capacity for brands such as Hilton, Marriott, DeVere and most recently as general manager of the Bolton Whites Hotel. According to Radisson, she has “always been intrigued and impressed by Radisson’s forward-thinking ethos and waited for an opportunity to arise where she could join the brand and embrace the Every Moment Matters motto”.

As the travel industry begins to re-emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic, she believes the “resilient hospitality sector will recover and rebuild but at a gradual pace as confidence grows”.

She said: “There is a sense of empathy and support to get the industry moving and many customers are hoping to create memorable experiences after the last 12 months.

“We are already seeing a very steady pick over the next few months and I sense a steady recovery aided by a deep desire to return to some form of normality from both hotels and travellers.”

Speak and her team will focus on “ensuring guests feel comfortable socialising again, and from the moment visitors arrive at the hotel confidence in safety measures will be installed every step of the way”.

Radisson Hotels Safety Protocol, a new program of in-depth cleanliness and disinfection procedures, in partnership with SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company launched in 2020 to ensure the continued health, safety and security of its guests, team members, and business partners.

Speak added: “Our team will be working hard to make every stay in every way memorable, ensuring the customer is always at the forefront of every decision.”

Park Inn by Radisson Manchester City Centre is located in Manchester’s city centre, a short walk from Manchester’s top attractions and the Northern Quarter. It features 252 rooms and suites, the RBG Bar & Grill and the Nu Spa.

Radisson Blu Hotel Manchester Airport is a “modern and sophisticated” hotel located close to Manchester’s airport.
