Farncombe Estate opens third hotel

In this episode we speak to Anthony Hunt, partner and co-head of Corporate Real Estate at law firm Howard Kennedy. We discuss why 2026 may be seen as a pivotal year for boutique hotels, unpack the rise of global nomadism and how this is shaping demand and trends across hospitality, and how a strong team and clear, consistent messaging and offerings are key to securing investment.

Farncombe Estate in the Cotswolds has opened its third hotel, an ‘affordable’ boutique property named The Fish.

Sitting on the privately-owned 400-acre estate, The Fish is located next to the group’s two existing hotels – the eight-bedroom Dormy House and Foxhill Manor, which opened in March this year.

The hotel features 43 bedrooms spread throughout three refurbished buildings and will include a restaurant, bar, along with facilities for meetings and retreats for up to 120 delegates.

The Fish, which was part of an extensive redevelopment, is a brand new type of accommodation for the group, representing a more affordable price.

Andrew Grahame, CEO of Farncombe Estate, said: “The opening of The Fish is another significant milestone for Farncombe as it brings together both a new type of accommodation and the wide range of activities we offer on the estate.

“This very exciting addition will not only enable us to reach more leisure and corporate guests, but also serves to demonstrate that price doesn’t have to mean compromising on style and service.”
