Stanley House Hotel and Spa has teamed up with a leading commercial fitness company to become the first in the UK to install a new type of advanced technology in its gymnasium.

In collaboration with Life Fitness, the hotel now provides a range of brand new high specification gymnasium equipment, such as the Life Fitness IPTV, which allows guests to experience a higher quality TV picture while they train.

The technology used for each cardiovascular piece includes a ‘virtual trainer’ to allow gym goers to plug in a USB to save their sessions and track progress.

All the equipment is synced with a unique training application for smart phones, allowing users to customise the equipment’s settings, schedule workouts and monitor results.

“The installation of unrivalled equipment in our gym adds another dimension to the health and well-being offering at Stanley House,” said Philip Wharton, general manager at Stanley Hose Hotel and Spa.

“Our guests are always at the heart of everything we do and by working with Life Fitness we have been able to meet guest’s requirements by offering equipment like no other.”

Life Fitness’ Dave Pullen added: “Working closely with Stanley House from the outset we were able to identify its needs and work alongside the team to deliver a solution that we are confident would work for them, based on our experience within the luxury spa sector.”
