Bespoke Hotels has announced that its Sun Street Hotel site will welcome Caroline King as the newly appointed general manager ahead of the hotel’s opening this autumn.

King is a hospitality, hotel, and Private Members Club professional with experience of working in a range of premier organisations in the UK, Australia and Kuala Lumpur.

According to Bespoke, she has worked in a “highly successful” senior management role at two “equally prestigious but culturally diverse” members’ clubs and has proven leadership and operational abilities in developing and launching deluxe and contemporary 5-Star hotels from construction.

King said: “I am delighted to take on this wonderful opportunity as General Manager for Sun Street Hotel. Bespoke is renowned for its level of excellence and personalised service and my mission is to ensure everyone is treated like an individual, not a room number.

“By tailoring each guest’s experience to suit their wants and needs, we expect Sun Street to be a hotel that is returned to again and again. Following the difficult year it has been, the City of London is ready to bounce back, and whether it is for a drink in the bar or lunch in the serene courtyard, Sun Street Hotel will be waiting with open arms.”

Sun Street Hotel is set in a restored Georgian terrace in the City of London. Spanning across six Georgian townhouses and five floors, the hotel was originally designed by “one of the most influential and esteemed” architects of the 18th and 19th Century, George Dance the Younger.

The site will feature 41 bedrooms including seven suites designed by Bowler James Brindley, as well as a destination restaurant and bar alongside a private members’ club.

The hotel will be Bespoke’s biggest London investment to date.
