Bunzl Catering Supplies has revealed it will start providing handy hints and tips for operators using online video content, to help streamline operations. 

The video content will be disseminated through eight YouTube videos designed to answer common questions and issues on commercial dishwashers.

Experts from its Cleanline Professional brand will talk operators through resolving such issues as how to reduce or increase the detergent pumped into a commercial dishwasher, how to unblock a jet on a commercial dishwasher, and why tanning stains appear on crockery.

The initiative aims to reduce costly engineer call-out charges for operators and minimise the time a dishwasher is out of action during busy service periods.

Bunzl Catering Supplies identified that many recurring faults with dishwashers are actually easy to fix on-site by an operator, and a video will provide operators with instant, easy to follow advice on how to fix any faults.

Paul Willcocks, director for exclusive brands at Bunzl Catering Supplies, said: “Our research found that the term ‘commercial dishwasher’ is searched on Google an average of 1,600 times every month.

“We don’t feel these searches can be entirely attributed to the purchasing of commercial dishwashers, but more about the issues operators may be facing with their dishwashers. Our aim is to reduce unnecessary engineer call-outs for operators, together with providing training and educational advice, whilst ultimately creating cost savings for operators.”
