Hybrid accommodation brand Generator has announced “record-breaking” revenues for the first half of the year – up 24% on 2022.

Despite inflationary concerns, the group’s strong cost management has also increased EBITDA by over 40%, with profits forecast to “outperform” expectations for the rest of the year.

Founded in 1995, Generator is the boutique and lifestyle accommodation brand with a growing portfolio across Dublin, London, Copenhagen, Paris, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Rome, Washington D.C. and now New York

Following the brand’s results in 2022, the company said the 2023 forecast underpins the hybrid accommodation models resurgence despite many industry experts predicting that shared “accommodation models would not recover after the pandemic”.

Alastair Thomann, CEO of Generator, said: “At Generator, we are extremely proud of our current performance.

“We have come out of COVID stronger than ever, and our financial results show our operating model’s unique ability to absorb inflationary pressures but also to benefit from an extremely resilient and loyal Gen Z and Millennial heavy guest mix.”
